Today I had to tow a truck from there parking lot and decide to go inside. I’m glad I did, I got some corn and a strawberry pastry. The corn is amazing can wait to get more. If you have a chance to go by do it, thank me later. Ps the silk matches my dog lol

Stopped by this cute side-of-the-road place on our way to a car show in Springfield. It was adorable! The bakery items, the canned goods, and the fresh blueberries were all outstanding. Added bonus that Erica and Sarah were very kind and helpful! We’re planning to make the 2 hour drive in the future just to visit Apple Barn! It’s definitely a fun place so don’t skip if you have the chance to go!

A diamond in the rough and a great place for delicious treats. We were visiting Lincoln’s hometown of Springfield, Ill and wanted to get a snack. We found this place online. It is a little south of the city and west of the interstate but it is absolutely worth the detour. It is a rustic place called the Apple barn and parking is right in front. Their website gives a lot more information about it being more than just the main shop that is in the barn. They began as a family apple orchard and expanded over the years into a collection of attractions including two restaurants, a general store, a creamery, a winery, a candy factory, and a Christmas shop, all centered around the original barn built in 1910. We only visited the barn with the bakery goodies and the very friendly staff who helped us get some delicious snacks for the trip back to the hotel. It was great! Even if you don't plan to buy anything, it's worth taking some time to visit to get a snack for your trip or, if you are going to walk around the site, for the extra visit. We found it to be one of the more enjoyable stops to the area capping off a great visit to the Springfield, Ill area.

Lovely store with great staff. You can't help but buy something when you step into the store- whether you're a dad, mom, single or boo'd up, there's something for you. For me it's the Apple Cider gallon. It tastes refreshing and I can't help but go back most weekends for another one (It is seasonal though and not available all year round). The Lemon Cake is splendid. I'll recommend that for a first timer.

Lots of cool things to buy - mums, pumpkins, gourds, apples, baked goods. Even dog treats! I had the caramel apple cheesecake and it was so delicious! 1/4 a peck of apples was $5 and there are several varieties to choose from. There are larger bags available too.
